Bilingual Summer Art Camp Instructor /  Instructeur bilingue du camp d’art d’été

Terms: Full-Time Contract

Rate of Pay: $22/hour

Reporting to the Head of Education, the Bilingual Summer Art Camp Instructor prepares and delivers a wide range of visual art-based activities to children and youth ages 6 to 12 in Oakville Galleries’ summer art camps. The Bilingual Summer Art Camp Instructor is working on-site at Oakville Galleries’ Gairloch Gardens (1306 Lakeshore Road East), Monday to Friday (except holidays) from 8:30AM to 4:30PM daily. They are a key member of the education team and serve as ambassadors of Oakville Galleries through their regular contact with members of the public.

Reporting to the Head of Education, the Bilingual Summer Art Camp Counsellor will oversee the day-to-day coordination of camp activities, lead groups of children ages 6 to 12 in recreational activities, assist Art Instructors during art class instruction, assist camp volunteers, and oversee the production of weekly camp exhibitions. The Bilingual Summer Art Camp Counsellor will work on-site at Oakville Galleries’ Gairloch Gardens location (1306 Lakeshore Road East), 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily. They will be a vital member of our camp program and will serve as an ambassador of Oakville Galleries through their regular contact with members of the public.
