In partnership with Olga Korper Gallery, Oakville Galleries invites you to the Winter 2026 ARTbus Tour. The journey begins at Olga Korper Gallery, where participants will view a solo exhibition by the late John Brown. From there, attendees will visit Oakville Galleries to explore the group exhibition: Les Fleurs du Mal, presented both at our Centennial and Gairloch Gallery. ARTbus guests will be picked up and dropped off at Olga Korper Gallery.

Guest curator Karen Kraven presents Les Fleurs du Mal, featuring works by Abbas Akhavan, Lili Huston-Herterich, Sukaina Kubba, Jeremy Laing, Jenine Marsh, Diyar Mayil, Marisa Portolese, Swapnaa Tamhane, and Aimée Zito Lema. Les Fleurs du Mal brings together artists whose works explore flowers, gardens, and acts of mourning and remembrance. Grappling with the complexities of loss and the thresholds between life and death, the exhibition considers themes of memorialization, materiality, and embodiment, reflecting on how we learn to live alongside loss.

Born in Sarnia, Ontario in 1953, and active until his passing in 2020, John Brown was a meticulous Canadian painter whose work has been celebrated for its thoughtful engagement with form, presence, and the human condition. Through his exploration of figurative and abstract imagery, Brown’s work invites viewers into a conversation about perception, memory, and the weight of lived experience. This exhibition offers a focused look at Brown’s artistic legacy. Light refreshments will be served.
