This spring, get Art Smart with engaging, hands-on workshops at Oakville Galleries! Join our experienced, returning art instructor, Meghan, as she guides your child(ren) through a series of exciting creative projects. Each session is designed to introduce children to new techniques and materials, encouraging them to explore new ways of creating art.
Over the course of the 2-hour workshop, participants will complete their very own finished works of art.
This session, we are offering stand alone workshops on the following Saturdays with a morning and afternoon session on each date:

Learn to emboss with this tin drawing project
April 11 | Week 3: Watercolour
Design and paint a watercolour pop up
April 18 | Week 4: Sculpture
Sculpt and construct a ‘tiny world’ using clay
April 25 | Week 5: Printmaking
Explore Gel plate printing to create your own unique monoprints
May 2 | Week 6: Mixed Media
Learn to weave using a mini loom technique

All classes will be conducted in the Second Floor Education Centre and occasionally outside in Gairloch Gardens. Drop-off will be outside of the Main Entrance at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, 1306 Lakeshore Road East, 2 km from downtown Oakville.
● Please send your child(ren) with a refillable water bottle.
● Dress for art making! Please note that aprons and smocks are not provided.
Requests for a program registration cancellation that are eligible for a full refund must be made in writing at least 14 days or more prior to the start date of the program. There are no refunds for cancellations requested less than 14 days before the program begins.
Oakville Galleries reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if a minimum enrollment number is not met. If Oakville Galleries cancels a program, registrants will be notified up to a week prior to the start of the program and registrants will be offered a full refund.
In the event that a participant is unable to attend a scheduled class during the scheduled program, make-up dates, refunds, or credits will not be provided.
