ENGLISH CAMPS
Ages 6 to 12

Our week-long art programmes run in rotation all summer long. Programme activities are adapted to a range of age and learning levels.

Almost Famous
Be in a band for a week! Mini-rock stars will create an album, design and print album artwork and posters, make pins and T-shirts, and shoot a music video. Participants can bring their own instruments, but no prior musical skills are required.
5 July–9 July: $208 ($245 for non-members)
3 August–6 August: $167 ($196 for non-members)

Imaginary Islands
Inspired by fairy tales, surrealism and old-fashioned storytelling, kids will design and build their own imaginary vessels and floating islands to launch in the Gairloch Gardens lily pond. Using traditional, unconventional and recycled materials, participants will work together on kinetic sculptures, art installations and storytelling projects.
12 July–16 July: $208 ($245 for non-members)
30 August–3 September: $208 ($245 for non-members)

Tune In
Get up off the couch and let your voice be heard! Taking TV shows and video art as inspiration, kids will create their own documentaries, cartoons, game shows, news stories — the possibilities are limitless. This is one show you’ll want to tune in for!
19 July–23 July: $208 ($245 for non-members)
16 August–20 August: $208 ($245 for non-members)

Radical Gestures
Our bodies aren’t just the stuff of science, but incredible art-making tools, too! From performance art to mythology to body science and sci-fi, participants will spend the week using sculpture and drawing to explore the creative possibilities inspired by the human form.
26 July–30 July: $208 ($245 for non-members)
9 August–13 August: $208 ($245 for non-members)
23 August–27 August: $208 ($245 for non-members)

CAMPS FOR FRENCH LEARNERS With the Alliance Française
Ages 6 to 11
For beginner and intermediate French learners, these week-long art and language study camps are co-taught by an art instructor from Oakville Galleries and a French teacher from the Alliance Française. A language level assessment will be conducted to tailor lessons to participants’ proficiency.

Imaginary Islands

Ages 6 to 8
Adapted from our Imaginary Islands camp in English (see description above), this week will weave art projects with language lessons, all while exploring sculpture, surrealism and storytelling.
16 August–20 August: $268 ($315 for non-members)

Almost Famous
Ages 9 to 11
This week-long programme—a modified version of our Almost Famous camp in English (see description above)—will see participants brush up on their French as they create their own musical instruments, rock paraphernalia and even a music video or two!
30 August–3 September: $268 ($315 for non-members)
