Oakville Galleries is committed to the presentation of contemporary art in all aspects of programming. With the support of our members, donors and corporate sponsors we are able to ensure the long-term viability of our exhibitions, children’s art education and acquisitions for the permanent collection of over 1100 pieces.

Members provide Oakville Galleries with a source of intellectual, artistic and financial support. As well, members share the underlying function of assisting the Galleries to continue to explore, exhibit and collect contemporary art.

Together, with our major funders including the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and the Corporation of the Town of Oakville, we can build for the future. 

To acknowledge the Galleries’s 25th anniversary of incorporation, the Friends of Oakville Galleries Giving Circle was launched. Our Friends are both members and donors and are vital and integral partners that form the core of support for the Galleries.

The Galleries is committed to fostering an understanding of visual and media arts and encourages full participation by the community in our activities. In return we offer tangible benefits through our Friends of Oakville Galleries Giving Circle including:

• Mail delivery of the award-winning Oakville Galleries’s Newsletter five times a year
  
• Free admission to over 70 museums and art galleries in Ontario including the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art (Toronto, ON), McMichael Canadian Art Collection (Kleinburg, ON), National Gallery of Canada Permanent Collection (Ottawa, ON), The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery at Harbourfront Centre (Toronto), Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery (Owen Sound), Museum London and others.
