Take care of each other: T-shirt I

Oakville Galleries and United Way Halton & Hamilton are pleased to announce the first ever collaboration between our two non-profits - an original t-shirt fundraiser.
As a fundraising initiative, Oakville Galleries has produced an original t-shirt created by emerging Oakville-based artist Anam Liaqat. The t-shirt, printed with the phrase take care of each other, is symbolic of the times we are living in.The t- shirt functions as an inspirational and community-minded message that we are caring for one another, now and into the future. United Way Halton & Hamilton provides vital support to non-profit agencies across our communities supporting those most in need. United Way Halton & Hamilton, together with its agency partners, volunteers and donors, is key to the energy and spirit of thetake care of each other t-shirt fundraising campaign.
In these uncertain times we look to each other for support; whether it's a quick video call, delivering groceries to someone in need, putting your sewing skills to the test to provide masks for friends, or supporting a local business. Over the past several weeks we've been able to see how communities have come together during a time of crisis. We can take care of each other. The take care of each other t-shirt is an example of the art community's immediate response to our region's evolving needs.
All proceeds from the t-shirt sales will be divided to support United Way Halton & Hamilton and Oakville Galleries programming - with a portion of the Oakville Galleries proceeds being donated to Hamilton Arts Council Hamilton Artists Relief Fund.
