A GLANCE AT THE PHOTOGRAPH
Oakville Historical Society Collection,
No. 1045. “Group of children,
c[irca] 1925, courtesy Bill Macrae.”
Fresh snow covers a patch of ice on a side street. Four children of varying
ages stop playing long enough to be photographed with skates and hockey
sticks. Behind them is a brick house on a corner lot and, to the right,
another house on the opposite side of the main street.
A SERIES OF QUESTIONS:
Which intersection is this?
Who are these children?
Are the houses still standing?
Have any of the trees survived?
