Constructed Worlds: An Introduction to Mixed Media
Saturdays, 20 October – 10 November 2018
Led by Oakville-based artist Dominique Prévost, this course will introduce participants to a variety of mixed-media approaches to artmaking, with an emphasis on documenting the world around us, both natural and built. Participants will be led through a series of drawing and painting exercises—and sensory explorations in Gairloch Gardens—to increase their capacity for observing their surroundings and translating those impressions into form. With a focus on rendering light, texture and colour, this program will foreground process over product, freely experimenting with techniques and materials without an end product in mind. All materials will be supplied.
Saturdays, 1:00 pm–4:00 pm (4 weeks)
Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens
