PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Join us for the inaugural trip of Oakville Galleries' members-only travel program. In this day-long visit to Buffalo, we'll explore the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which boasts one of North America's finest collections of modern and contemporary art. Featuring the work of twentieth-century masters such as Henri Matisse, Frida Kahlo, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol along with contemporary icons such as Cindy Sherman, Jeff Wall and Theaster Gates, the museum is one of the oldest and most prominent art institutions in America, situated on the edge of Buffalo's beautiful Delaware Park.

Registration for this day trip includes round-trip transportation from Oakville, a tour of the Albright-Knox's collections and current exhibition, and lunch at the Hotel Henry's 100 Acres restaurant, located on Buffalo's historic Richardson Olmstead Campus.

9:30 am: Coach departs Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens

11:30 am: Tour of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery permanent collection and current exhibition, We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965-85

1:00 pm: Lunch at 100 Acres at the Hotel Henry

4:00 pm: Estimated return time to Oakville Galleries

Location

Pick-up and drop-off at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens (1306 Lakeshore Road East, Oakville).

What to bring

Please note that all registrants must have a valid passport entitling free entry into the US and Canada with an expiry date not before November 26th, 2018 at the time of travel.
