Drawing: Line It Up
- Saturdays, 14 October – 2 December 2017 (8 weeks)
With an emphasis on drawing projects made with traditional and unusual tools, participants will take inspiration from the Galleries' FASTWÜRMS exhibition to expand into projects that embrace texture, collage and sculpture.
Painting: Brush It Out
- Saturdays, 20 January – 10 March 2018 (8 weeks)
Looking at the work of painter Allison Katz for inspiration, participants will make their own artworks using watercolours, acrylics and oil paints. Incorporating elements of abstraction and surrealism, participants will create paintings that focus on different types of brushwork, form, colour, and the use of contrasting motifs.
Textiles: Weave It Through
- Saturdays, 21 April – 9 June 2018 (8 weeks)
Silky, fuzzy, smooth and rough—discover the wonderfully tactile world of textile art! Through the use of various textile mediums, participants will learn about creating patterns, making a piece of wearable art, weaving a wall hanging, sewing collages, and more.
