Create and share stories in your very own self-published books! Taking inspiration from contemporary painters who tell stories through art, kids will use watercolours to fill up their pages, and assemble them into hand-sewn books using an assortment of papers, washi tape and fabrics.

Twisted Winter Blues

Discover winter's incredible spectrum of colours and forms. From cool blue hues to sparkly snowy folds, this day will celebrate the simplicity of nature's beauty—with a twist! Projects will include colour block collages made out of gelatin and landscape paintings on fabric that double as soft sculptures.

School's out, which means it's time to have fun! After a scavenger hunt in Gairloch Gardens during the morning, participants will spend the afternoon transforming our studio into a fun house, replete with painted signs, sculpted oddities and a massive indoor fort!

We are setting up shop in Gairloch Gardens! Kids will make fresh lemonades from scratch and craft keepsake treats using a range of sculpture materials.
9:00 am–4:00 pm
Before-care and after-care is available every day from 8:00 am–9:00 am ($5/day per child) and 4:00 pm–5:30 pm ($7/day per child). Parents must register for extended care at least 2 business days in advance.
All classes are held in the Education Centre at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, 1306 Lakeshore Road East, located 2 km east of downtown Oakville.
What to bring
Campers are required to bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks for the day. Lunches and snacks must be nut-free. Refillable water bottles are highly recommended. Indoor and outdoor clothing and footwear that can endure both messy fun and outdoor play are encouraged. Please bring a change of clean shoes to wear indoors in bad weather. Smocks are not provided. All art materials are supplied by Oakville Galleries.
Cancellation with a refund must be applied for at least 7 days before your child's program begins. Refunds are subject to a $15 administrative fee. There are no refunds for cancellations requested less than 7 days before the program begins, or for extended care. Please allow 2-4 weeks for refunds by cheque.
