Behind the Surface: Experimenting with Photograms
Saturdays, 9 November – 23 November 2019
Led by contemporary artist Robert Caspary, this three-week course will introduce participants to varied techniques and strategies of photogramming, a form of cameraless photography. Working closely with Caspary, participants will explore a variety of different practices, including solar printing, gel transferring, collaging, and stitching to create images of their own making while developing the skills necessary to continue a photogram practice outside of the classroom. No previous experience necessary; suitable for beginners and accomplished photographers alike. All materials will be supplied.
This program is generously supported by our Public Programs Partner Chubb.
