Dedicated to art-making and outdoor recreation in Gairloch Gardens, our March Break Art Camps are designed to keep kids active and inspired while school's out! As participants work on completing several artworks each day—including smaller pieces to take home and large studio-based group projects—they will learn new techniques and use a range of materials that engage them with environmentally conscious art practices. At the end of the week, campers celebrate their creations with an exhibition for family and friends. Pour les descriptions des programmes en français, cliquez ici.
- 11 – 15 March 2019
Make your own museum this March Break! Participants will create objects that tell their life stories, whether real or imagined. Fancy yourself to be a space explorer or unicorn whisperer? Kids will make self-portraits, costumes, maps, video diaries and other historical accoutrements to tell any life story using drawing, painting and sculpture.
The Future Belongs to the Curious
- 18 – 22 March 2019
Ever wanted to see into the future? Participants will mine the depths of their curiosity to imagine what lies ahead. Through painting, sculpture and animation activities, kids will create artworks such as crystal balls, time travel books, maps, models of our planet (and any other intergalactic colonies), and short stop-motion movies.
Monday to Friday. Camp begins each day at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm.
Extended care is available each day beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 5:30 pm. Morning care is $25 per child for the full week. Afternoon care is $35 per child for the full week. Parents must register for extended care at least 2 business days in advance.
All camps are held at Oakville Galleries in Gairloch Gardens, 1306 Lakeshore Road East, located 2 km east of downtown Oakville.
