With a permanent collection containing more than 1,100 works of art, Oakville Galleries is guided by a vision that creative work is a vehicle for knowledge, understanding and a stimulus for life-long learning.
Acquisition of works of art from selected Oakville Galleries exhibitions plays an important role in the development of the permanent collection, containing works from artists including: Janet Cardiff, Kim Adams, Gathie Falk, Liz Magor, Ian Carr-Harris, Attila Richard Lukacs, Murray Favro, Fastw¸rms, Robert Fones, Micah Lexier, David Rokeby, Colette Whiten, Roy Arden, Robin Collyer, Rodney Graham, Angela Grauerholz and Glenn Rudolph.
The Permanent Collection Conservation and Maintenance Fund ensures that this important collection is preserved for the enjoyment of future generations. Collection maintenance can include, but is not limited to, proper storage and crating, handling, security, environmental and museum standard controls and preservation and conservation applications.
To contribute to The Permanent Collection Conservation and Maintenance Fund, simply print the Friends of Og2 Giving Circle commitment form and designate your gift on the appropriate line. Your contribution will assist with costs associated with the guardianship of the permanent collection.
